The Forgotten Caregiver of Mental Crisis
Hi, I’m Amber Parker, a speaker, Physician Assistant, and the author of “The Forgotten Caregiver of Mental Crisis: Navigating Suicidality After Trauma with Increased Hope, Resilience, and Practical Strategies”.
I am passionate about blending medical insight, evidence-based practices, lived experience, faith, and neuroscience together for a powerful path towards healing and wholeness.
If you are right now fighting for your loved one’s life against thoughts of suicide, suicide attempts, or your loved one is struggling with past trauma, PTSD, or self-destructive coping choices, know that I am here to come alongside you, as a friend and guide. Someone who has lived through the chaos and turmoil of mental crisis caregiving.
I wish I’d had a friend who’d walked the path before me, to help shine a light in the darkness and be able to say “I understand” when life felt intense and overwhelming. I wrote the book I wish I’d had myself. Glean from my hard-fought insight, our personal story, and professional recommendations in helping your loved one receive the care and treatment they need on the path toward healing and wholeness.
The Forgotten Caregiver of Mental Crisis will be published in Nov/Dec 2025 and is written from an integrated neuroscience and faith perspective to support the caregiver as they fight for the life of their loved one. It comes out of my personal caregiving story.
You are not alone in your battle anymore, friend.
